Product Designer
Forward is seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced Product Designer to help shape work we do and impact we make at Forward. As a key member of the design team, you will contribute to all stages of the design process, from conceptualization to prototyping and delivery, ensuring the creation of intuitive, clean, and modern interfaces that cater to our clients' needs.
As a Product Designer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design strategies that enhance the user experience. Your strong communication skills, ability to manage your own workload, and passion for timeless, elegant design will make you a valuable asset in our mission to create user-centered products that make a meaningful impact on our clients and their users.
Responsibilities
Own and craft the end-to-end user journey and product design execution, from concepts and prototyping to testing and delivery.
Determine the UI look and feel, and ensure a consistent design across desktop and mobile applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams of product managers, developers, and other designers to shape and execute design strategy.
Analyze and solve user experience problems while enhancing user interaction with our applications.
Articulate the narrative of your design solutions to stakeholders, partners, and peers.
Consistently uphold the quality and craft of design throughout all points of the user experience.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in product and UI design, with a strong portfolio showing a central design role in shipping products to real customers.
Proficient in Figma and component-based design methods; experience with Sketch is a plus.
Knowledge of usability principles and an understanding that good design isn’t always about reinventing the wheel.
Strong prototyping skills, with the ability to show as well as tell.
Versatility across platforms and form factors, from native mobile apps to web, and small to large screens.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate design decisions and absorb different perspectives from research, product, and engineering teams.
Self-motivated, able to manage your workload, and work independently.
